BFI London Film Festival
Get your popcorn ready for the BFI London Film Festival, returning to the South Bank from 7–18 October for its 70th edition. Bringing 12 days of new films, series, immersive storytelling and red-carpet premieres to London, this year’s programme spans 251 titles from 88 countries, with screenings taking place at BFI Southbank and the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall.
From major premieres and international cinema to special screenings and conversations with some of the biggest names in film, including Andrew Scott, Ava DuVernay, Cynthia Erivo and Sofia Coppola, there’s plenty to discover throughout the festival. And, conveniently, it’s all happening just a short stroll from Sea Containers London — making it rather easy to turn a film night into a full South Bank evening.
