The Book Club will kick off on 5th June with Adam Kay’s brand-new Number 1 Sunday Times bestseller, Undoctored. Monday 18 September at 6.30pm: Edge of Here by Kelechi Okafor
Join writer, presenter, actor and “Say Your Mind” podcast host, Kelechi Okafor, who is famously known for challenging how we think about race and femininity in tandem. Kelechi’s new book, Edge of Here explores the tales of contemporary Black womanhood, asks questions about the way we live, and offers a glimpse into our near future. This empowering and thought-provoking collection of short stories is sure to spark conversation and inspire readers.
Tickets cost £25 per person, including a welcome drink on arrival. £5 of the £25 will be donated to Breathe Arts Health Research.
Following the event, guests can also choose £55 tickets, which include a two-course dinner in Sea Containers Restaurant with a glass of Prosecco. The special tasting menu features dishes including star anise salmon with elderflower and crackling, grilled skirt steak with radish, spring onion and barley and seabass with crushed peas and buttermilk vermouth.
