Created by multi award-winning Ryan Chetiyawardana AKA Mr Lyan (“The World’s Most Awarded Bartender” The Telegraph; International Bartender of the Year 2015, Most Influential Britons 2017, Personality of the Decade 2017) and the team behind iconic venues White Lyan, Super Lyan, Cub, Dandelyan and more.
Team Lyan has always had a curiosity to find new ingredients, and an ability to make these unusual, alien and outright weird forms more delicious. In an embrace of the alternative, these key ingredients are at the heart of Lyaness. Some we’ve worked on with like-minded people within and out with the booze world and others are the result of the research, exploration and experimentation of the team. So our menu is sectioned around ingredients instead of cocktails; it might seem a little odd, but the Lyaness team can connect you to your ideal drink.
Reimagining the iconic space overlooking the Thames within Sea Containers house, and to borrow from the heritage of our previous bar, Dandelyan, we’ve hoped to create a cocktail bar that goes beyond the simple focus of what’s in your glass.
Comfortable and fun, with different spaces that can accommodate private settings through to bigger social occasions, the space has been designed by original Dandelyan designer Jacu Strauss and the Lore Design Team. Featuring a signature electric blue, as well as the original green marble bar, the space is suitable from early where we also serve our cocktail-based Fancy Tea, through to late night – including our house DJs over the weekend playing an eclectic mix of rock, funk and disco.
Please note that we operate an over 18s policy from 5pm. The space gets busy, so we recommend booking in advance, but we will try to fit walk-ins where possible.

Menu 2.0 has just dropped at Lyaness! The Lyan team have concocted four brand new ingredients including Tea-Mooth, Vegan Honey, Golden Levain and Peach Emoji. These join the three remaining and much-loved ingredients from the old menu, ONYX, Purple Pineapple & Infinite Banana. With each ingredients, comes a host of suggested serves helping you know a little more about how complex each of them is, and how they could work in your own personal favourite serve.
It’s no secret that Lyaness love an excuse to celebrate, and the festive season is no exception. From a mixture of classic rock and post punk all the way through to 90s indie hip hop and resident DJs playing each weekend, sit back and relax as you sip on mouth- watering cocktails that’ll get you completely into the Christmas spirit. We’ll drink to that!
We’re bringing some extra fun to the end of the week, with the return of our much loved Sunday Lyan - happening on the last Sunday of each month. Good pals from some of our favourite bars and spirit brands around the world join us to host their take on Sunday Lyan. They'll work with the Lyaness team on a one off ingredient that they'll use for a menu of drinks for that evening only, along with tasty bar snacks and old school hip-hop from our resident DJ. Oh, you Fancy, huh? Introducing our very special cocktail-led Afternoon Tea! Taking 80s dinner party inspiration and giving it a Lyan twist, think paprika devilled eggs and pineapple upside-down scones. All paired up with expertly-crafted cocktails using Lyaness’ house-made ingredients. A par-tea worth talking about!
